Brand new softcover book! ; There are occasions when a discourse is given which not only touches on the unkown, but jumps right into it. Such is the case with this by Brigham Young. Titled, "The Visits of Heavenly Father to the Earth," this discourse offers some thought from the prophet regarding possible, and even probably, visits of Heavenly Father to this earth. Said Brigham Young, "If our Father and God should be disposed to walk through one of these aisles, we should not know him from one of the congregation. You would see a man, and that is all you would know about him; you would merely know Him as a stranger from some neighboring city or country. This is the character of Him whom we worship and acknowledge as our Father and God: when He is disposed to visit a house, a neighborhood, or a congregation, He does it at His pleasure; ..." Again, in the same discourse: "We may have seen the Lord and angels many times, and did not know it." And still again, "The Lord Jesus Christ might come among us and we would not know Him; and if he were to come in our midst and speak unto us to-day, we might suppose Him to be one of our returned missionaries; "
These quote, and others, are used to teach about the visits of the Father & son to this earth, along with encouraging the Saints to stay away from Babylon. We are taught the reason for suffering among the Saints, and the limits that God has (IE - "In a broad sense ... There are things He (God) never attempted and never will. He will not exalt a spirit to thrones, to immortality, and eternal lives, unless that spirit is first clothed in mortal flesh, and with it, passes through a mortal probation, and overcomes the world, the flesh, and the devil through the atonement made by Jesus Christ and the power of the Gospel." ) ; The FIG Project Series; 5.5" x 8.5"; 14 pages
