This book is a history of a lady who early in life joined the Church, and remained faithful through the various trials and hardships to which the early Saints were subjected. Deserted by her first husband, she became the wife of Newel Knight, and later in life made the trek out West as his widow. Lydia Knight was born in 1812 and died in 1884, a year after this work was published.
