1 Woodruff, WilfordEarly Missionary Journeys of Faith

Walnut Springs Press, 2010, SoftcoverNew

Brand new softcover book! ; I found Mr. Benbow to be a wealthy farmer, cultivating three hundred acres of land, occupying a good mansion, and having plenty of means...I rejoiced greatly at the news that Mr. Benbow gave me, that there was a company of men and women - over six hundred in number - who had broken off from the Wesleyan Methodists, and taken the name of United Brethren. They had forty-five preachers among them, and had chapels and many houses that were licensed according to the law of the land for preaching in. This body of United Brethren were searching for light and truth, but had gone as far as they could, and were continually calling upon the Lord to open the way before them, and send them light and knowledge that they might know the true way to be saved...The first thirty days after my arrival in Herefordshire, I had baptized forty-five preachers and one hundred and sixty members of the United Brethren, who put into my hands on chapel and forty-five houses, which were licensed according to law to preach in. This opened a wide field of labor, and enabled me to bring into the Church, through the blessing of God, over eight hundred souls during eight months, including all of the six hundred United brethren except one person, also including some two hundred preachers of various denominations. (excerpt from Wilford Woodruff's journal) ; 5.25" x 8"; 117 pages,

2 Woodruff, WilfordLeaves from My Journal

Archive Publishers, 2000, Heber City, Utah: PaperbackNew

Brand new softcover book! Never been read! ; (Volume 3) Written by President Wilford Woodruff, perhaps the Church's most successful missionary and leader during troubled times, these journal entries cover a combination of inspiration and tribulation unknown to most Latter-day Saints. The Preface to this book of the FAITH-PROMOTING SERIES reads:

"Certainly no man living has been more particular about recording with his own hand, in a daily journal, during half a century, the events in his own career and the things that have come under his observation. His elaborate journal has always been one of the principal sources from which the Church history has been compiled.

"The adventures, accidents and hair-breadth escapes that he has met with, are scarcely equalled by that former apostle, Paul, has left of his life.

"The power of God has been manifested in a most remarkable manner in preserving Brother Woodruff's life. Considering the number of bones he has broken, and other bodily injuries he has received, it is certainly wonderful that now, at the age of seventy-four years, he is such a sound, well-preserved man." ; Faith Promoting Series Series; Vol. 3; 5" x 8"; 153 pages,
